About
Incredibly proud to have been a part of the awesome threesome that make up the Malaga Minister celebrant team spreading love all over the Costa del Sol and Andalucia over the last 6 years and I am now ready to do the same here in England.
Specialising in bespoke wedding ceremonies, vow renewals and family ceremonies, I would be delighted to help create the most amazing personal ceremony for your special day.
About me
I am originally from Devon and have just moved back to the U.K again with my partner, 2 crazy children and 2 big dogs after spending a whopping 23 years in Spain.
I adore weddings. Ever since I was a bridesmaid for the first time aged 5 I have had the wedding bug. That, combined with a huge family, meant that weddings were something we attended regularly and the excitement surrounding such a special day has always made me smile and feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
Quite simply, I love the way that couples can choose to do something completely different from the “norm” and make their wedding something amazing and personal to them. It is truly inspiring. I feel that weddings/ceremonies and other celebratory milestones should always be really joyous and meaningful occasions tailor-made to reflect your uniqueness.
Language
As a fluent Spanish speaker I can also create and deliver a lovely personalised bilingual ceremony.
it is quite something to see the blending of two cultures and 2 languages within a ceremony.
Legal bit
** It is important to remember a wedding ceremony held by a celebrant is not legally binding. **
The law in England and Wales currently states that a celebrant led wedding is not legally recognised, meaning that couples who opt to have their ceremony conducted by a Celebrant must take care of the legal ceremony, usually at a registry office either before, or after the Celebrant led wedding day blessing.
I have had many couples do this, even during their lunch hour from work and treat it like an appointment, which is essentially what it is. With 2 witnesses present, you repeat the legally required vows and you sign and register your marriage in a similar way that you would register a birth, or a death for example.
Some make a little more of this and dress up for the occasion, but as there is no legal requirement to exchange your personal vows, nor your rings - you can always save these for what I would call your "REAL" celebration. Once you have completed the legal paperwork, you are free to celebrate your marriage, or civil partnership anywhere and in any way you like.
